Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman (American gymnast) was both a team member and captain of 2012's Fierce Five in addition to the 2015 Final Five US Women Olympic Gymnastics. In 2012 the team, she won gold at the team events along with the floor exercises. For the balance beam Raisman received the bronze medal. In 2012 she was the first American athlete to achieve the most number of medals in the Olympics. Her gold medal in the Olympics in 2016 was her second consecutive gold medal for the US team. This made her, and teammate Gabby one of the very first Americans to accomplish this achievement. Also, silver medals were awarded in both the all-around individual as well as floor workouts. In the three years between her two Olympic Games her break was taken. Gold medal winner American team also took home two World Championships. As a young girl, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favorite sport is floor exercise. Aly is a supporter of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honor of her grandmother who passed away due to cancer. Aly is planning to pursue the profession of a fashion designer. Her future goals include growing her line of leotards. The book she is working on is called Fierce to be published in the coming months.
